Press Release: Academic HealthPlans Announces New VP of Business Development

Grapevine, TX (Oct. 21, 2019) Academic HealthPlans (AHP) announced Brian Judy has been named Vice President of Business Development. Brian will join AHP’s west coast office.

Brian has expertise in consulting and brokering customized student insurance programs at public and private colleges, including both individual and state-wide institutions. His expertise extends to the development and implementation of hard-waiver mandatory programs, including the administration of enrollment, waiver, audit, and IT solutions for his clients. Brian has also worked extensively in the intercollegiate athletic and blanket accident marketspace.

Brian’s hiring comes as the company expands its operations in the west coast. “AHP has been working in California for the last couple years, and we see additional opportunities in the western region. We are excited to have the local presence and additional student-focused experience that Brian brings to the team,” said Terry Lyons, President & CEO of AHP.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California at Davis.
